German and European Patent Attorney Candidate
Dr. Christoph Sikeler holds a doctorate in physics and is currently training at our law firm to become a German patent attorney and representative before the European Patent Office. He deals with all areas of intellectual property law and focuses on the fields of physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and lithography.
Dr. Sikeler studied physics at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU). During his studies, he was a working student at a start-up and spent a semester at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
After graduating, Dr. Sikeler earned his doctorate in biophysics at Ludwig Maximilian University under Prof. Dr. Tim Liedl. In his dissertation, Dr. Sikeler focused on the production and optical analysis of plasmonic nanostructures. To this end, he dealt with self-assembly methods, electron beam lithography, atomic force microscopy, electron beam microscopy, dark field microscopy, topological structures, and super-resolution microscopy, among other things.
