After completing his studies, Dr. Dierke earned his doctorate. at the Chair of Experimental Physics (CEP) at FAU. In his dissertation, Dr. Dierke focused on the fabrication and light-matter interactions of two-dimensional materials, particularly graphene and twisted bilayer graphene. To this end, he utilized techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, chemical functionalization, electron beam lithography, and atomic force microscopy. After completing his doctorate, Dr. Dierke spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at the CEP and worked as part of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1719 “ChemPrint – Next-generation printed semiconductors.”
