Dr. Trixi Hollweck

Dr. Trixi Hollweck holds a doctorate in medical engineering and is currently training at our firm to become a German patent attorney and representative before the European Patent Office. She deals with all areas of intellectual property law, particularly in the fields of medical engineering, mechanical engineering, and physics.

Before joining Zimmermann & Partner, Dr. Hollweck worked for 11 years as an expert and auditor for medical devices at the Notified Body TÜV SÜD. Prior, she led a three-year research project at the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich to develop a biohybrid, stented heart valve prosthesis for minimally invasive implantation. As a research accociate at a pharmaceutical company, she spent three yearks working on the pharmaceutical development of transdermal drug delivery systems.

As part of her doctoral studies at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Dr. Hollweck worked on the development of a cardiac stem cell implant for the treatment of cardiomyodegenerative diseases. Dr. Hollweck completed studies in biotechnology at the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, graduating with a degree in engineering (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)), and completed studies in medical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, graduating with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree.
