Dr. Urs Liedl joined Zimmermann & Partner in 2010 and has been a partner since 2023.

As a qualified German and European Patent Attorney, Dr. Liedl specializes in patent prosecution, opposition proceedings, and high-stakes litigation before the European Patent Office (EPO), the Unified Patent Court (UPC), and German national courts.

Dr. Liedl’s practice spans multiple high-tech sectors. He possesses deep expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering, power generation, and power transfer systems. Furthermore, he is a recognized expert in industrial automation and digital communication within industrial environments, as well as medical technology and international trademark and design matters.

Dr. Liedl holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, with doctoral research focused on the mechanical behavior of metals and automotive steels.
